Creating a Beauty Ritual & Space

Did you know that establishing a home ritual can improve your facials? I advise my clients to 'prolong' the effects of my treatments by adopting a skincare beauty routine at home. Creating a specific space in your home for self-care can turn even a tiny corner into a beauty sanctuary!

Define Your Space

Before focusing on decor and products, find the perfect location, whether it's a spare room, a cozy corner in your bedroom, or even a section of the bathroom. Take into account natural light, privacy, and accessibility. I favor natural light during the day and opt for a lit mirror at night.

My beauty nook is a cozy corner by the bedroom window, offering a stunning view of nature. Due to the limited space, I opted for a small round table to hold the pedestal makeup mirror I'm fond of. I discovered a pink blush velvet stool at TJ Maxx that fits perfectly underneath. It's truly my style, and I adore my routine!

Enjoy the Process

Designing your space should be fun, so take your time and choose items that truly reflect your personal style. Consider adding sheer curtains to let gentle light flow in, transforming it into a calming retreat. Rather than opting for typical acrylic organizers, I prefer decorative baskets or other distinctive containers I discover while shopping. Effective storage will help keep clutter under control and make it simple to locate what you need when you're in a hurry. Be creative with your choices!

Personal Touches

It's wonderful to include cherished photos and motivational quotes. The highlight of my space is a stunning flower painting crafted by a close friend. Keep in mind, this area, regardless of its size, is meant to showcase your personality...so embrace it!

Curate Your Beauty Products

Keeping all my favorite products in one place helps me maintain consistency with my daily routine. Products aren't effective when they're hidden in a drawer! Display your favorites and keep them within reach to build good skincare habits. I find it helpful to have three products on my counter at a time. For example: The Osea Day Glow Oil, Arcona's Eye Dew & Lilfox's Haute C. After two weeks, I might switch the oil for a daily moisturizer like the Collagen Dream Night Cream. Be intuitive with your skin and occasionally rotate products.

Have a Ritual

Establish a daily skincare routine and stay dedicated to it. Vary your regimen by incorporating elements such as the Stone Crop Masque by Eminence perhaps investing in a new tool or widget like the Thera Face Pro, and certainly, schedule regular facials! My treatments utilize cutting-edge technology paired with holistic, mineral-rich products and rejuvenating rituals like the Caci Microcurrent or the Diamond Glow. Visit the Cottage to feel refreshed and maintain nourished, healthy skin in your own beautifully curated sanctuary.
